Update on Amber
I dropped Amber off at 6:30 AM this morning. That was the last photo I took of her before she was taken inside. I received an update that her ultrasound looked good, so it sounds like there isn’t any metastasis to her organs. A sigh of relief. Unfortunately, however, the specialty clinic I took her to also sees emergencies. Apparently they had a lot of emergency surgeries that had to be done before Amber. While I understand that those emergencies take priority, I felt bad that my kitty had to sit in a cage for nearly 12 hours. At least they have a designated quiet area for cats only. According to whoever was checking in on her, she didn’t seem too frightened so that’s good at least. I finally got an update around 7:45 tonight saying that the surgery went very well and they are quite confident that the margins are good. I won’t get biopsy results for about 2 weeks. The doctor will check on her tomorrow morning and she will be discharged sometime in the afternoon.
Her onesies I ordered from Amazon also came today. They are super cute and I’m quite excited to try them on her. The surgeon gave the okay to use them as long as she doesn’t bother her incision. I look forward to sharing my crafting process to see if they’ll work out.
Oh my goodness, I m hownyou were on pins and needles all day. I’m so glad to hear surgery went well! I’m s sure she’s nicely drugged right now and feeling no pain!
Use this time to get some sleep yourself, okay?
Stay connected and let is know how things are going when you get home.

I can empathize with feeling bad about the long delay. It does seem like Amber was being well cared for before, during, and after surgery nonetheless. And most importantly, the surgery was a success! I’m doing a little happy dance about the good margins! Okay and also, those onesies are the cutest. That little princess! I can’t wait to see her wearing them once she’s home and settled. Me and my family are continuing to cheer on Amber as she recovers!
